Play Zone - Rainbow & Shine

My boy is starting pre primary next year (for other states that's first full time school year). Whilst the kids are still young they really don't use their play zone much anymore. They don't really play with any of the toys in there anymore. They are usually in their rooms, outside in backyard, drawing in the dining room or watching movies in the lounge room.

I've decided it's time to make over the playroom to make it more suitable to them now. In doing this Miss S's room too will get some changes to increase toy storage and usability. Master T already has lots of storage as his room.

The playroom will be getting a couple of desks so they can draw, write, play lego and just generally have somewhere to do things other than the floor. The wall I'm putting the desks on will get a fresh coat of paint (slightly deeper grey) and silver polka dots. I will be using items we already have in play zone along with new items I've purchased. I have decided on a black/white theme with rainbow. I love colour so i still want to keep plenty of bright colour pops in there. I will be keeping the artwork wire with all their artworks on there so this will tie in well with all the colour.

I've put together a mood board of all the items i have (except hot air balloon & nesting dolls). Now to find the time to get it done!

Ikea: Stripe Cushion, Desk 1, Desk 2, Cube Storage, TV unit, Frames & Photo Ledges
Little Lola Boutique: Rainbow Pom Pom Garland
Adairs: Dream Big Cushion
Polka Dot: 3" Silver Dot Decals
Fantastic Furniture: Black Viento Replica Chairs
Lime & Mortar: Rainbow & Cloud Prints

Just lovely... what a gorgeous room it will be. I love all the colour. I have a serious crush on pom pom garlands at the moment and want some for E's room. xxx

I love those black and white babushka dolls! I might have to pick some up myself.
Looks like you've got it all planned. Lots of fun colours with bold black and white will look gorgeous. I can't wait to see your revamped space.
