Carlene & Michael's Kitchen
I liked how they did the island cabinets white as they black would have felt too heavy. The pendants added glamour whilst the wooden touches softened the space.

Shannon & Simon's Kitchen
I'm so glad they pulled down the wall to allow all that natural light in. However i did like the look of the funky cabinets/shelving they were planning to do. I like how they have thought ahead with the bar and bi-fold windows.
Dee & Darren's Kitchen
Once again i really love their space, it was my favourite this week. Perhaps cause we are a family and i think this kitchen gives the most homely feel. How stunning is that white marble... wow! I can understand why Dee felt bit upset this week.
Maxine & Karstan's Kitchen
This couple always choose interesting lights. I love lighting so this is a big plus to me. I really like the artwork in this space as well for a pop of colour. The extra bench is great touch, i can imagine the kids eating and doing their home work there. But i can also imagine business couple on their laptops or reading the newspaper. It's quite a useful space
Jenna & Chris's Kitchen
I can imagine this kitchen in a magazine as it photographs well. I almost feel like I've seen it before. Its bit too much timber for me. I do like the cage pendant lights and the size of their butlers pantry.
Whose kitchen was your favourite? Do you agree with the judges?

I love the boys kitchen, such an entertainers kitchen, so open and lets in lots of natural light.
Dee & Darren's - that marble. Wow.
Is it a copout if I say I love all of them?! I honestly couldn't choose they are all amazing.
A tough one this week. I think being there, the judges get a better sense of space, light and colour. I think they made the right decision. Dee shouldn't be upset because the scores were all so tight and there were a couple of errors in their kitchen. The judges also commented how it was "tucked away" which is not how most Australians like their kitchens these days. It's interesting that in the video I was a bit disappointed with the boys colours and it seemed a bit dark, but in the photos it doesn't look that way at all.
