The Elf on the Shelf is a special elf sent from the North Pole to help Santa manage his naughty and nice lists. When a family adopts an elf and gives it a name, the elf receives its Christmas magic and can fly to the North Pole each night to tell Santa about all of the day's adventures. Each morning, the elf returns to its family in a different place to watch the fun. Kids love to wake up and look around the house looking for their elf each morning. Elves are very cheeky and get up too all kinds of antics.
Here are some antic ideas for your elf to get up to this Christmas
You can purchase an elf from Book Depository (free shipping). There is a boy elf and girl elf - girl is actually on sale (save $13). Also available in dark skin
To be extra organised The Organised Housewife has The Elf Planner. The elf planner is a digital file for you to download. There are antic ideas, elf name suggestions, activities for the kids, official letters and so much more.

Very cute! The idea is adapted from Dinovember...hilarious fun! Terrified of Christmas beetles, we started a family tradition where you'd whisper your wish list to the beetles who were the naughty / nice list spies for Santa. They brought special advent countdown gifts too. Worked a treat!
We have so much fun with our Elf, brings so much joy into our home over Christmas, I think my husband and I get just as bigger kick out of coming up with funny antics. So joyous seeing the kids faces in the morning trying to find our 'Elfred'.
Thank you so much for sharing. I am so doing this next year when my toddler is just that little older and will be able to appreciate it.
This is really a wonderful post.
