Colour Pop: Grey, Navy & Yellow

This week was inspired by my friend's new colour scheme in her home. Lovely mix of yellow, navy and grey. You could easily style these colours in different looks. Great for a living space, master bedroom, nursery and especially a teen boys bedroom.

Erin Condren Life Planner 2015/16

Between 11pm-1pm tonight the new Erin Condren Life Planners will be launched! There is option for 18 month planner which is July '15 to December '16 OR 12 month planner which January '16 to December '16. The 18 month one comes with a bigger coil which is great if you add lots into your planner.

There has been some changes this year to the vertical layout of the planner. Here is a preview of one of the weeks so you can see the main differences. The top is the new layout and the bottom photo is the current layout (please ignore my bin sticker).

You can see the day/dates are more simplified. The calendar in top left corner is now replaced with a thankful thought box (you could use this box for anything). I will be selling calendar stickers in my etsy shop as I know there is a few of you who will miss it. The writing in the sidebar has been replaced with a blank flag for you to write your own heading. There is no longer morning/day/night headings above each both and the writing below the boxes is gone. Those are the 2 changes I am most happy about!
Erin Condren has also introduced a new horizontal layout. The colour palette for this horizontal layout is different to vertical.. the colours are softer and different for each month. As you can see August in horizontal is blue but it's yellow in vertical. The boxes are lined for those who prefer lines to write on with an empty box at the end to use as you please. I'll most likely use my weekly sets in those boxes. Im yet to confirm the size but there will be an option for horizontal size for my weekly packs and EC box sticker designs.
There is also a limited edition rose gold planner. This planner will only be available as ready to shop (meaning you can't choose and personalise the cover). There is a limited amount so if you are wanting this planner order straight away!
There is also a launch bundle which includes the new markers and brand new sticker book full of bright colourful stickers with foil accents. Click image for more info
I'm going to order the 18 month in both layouts as I want the larger coil. It's also great for my business to own both planners. I will be using one of them for my own personal use. I was positive I would be using the vertical layout but now I'm considering using the horizontal. I'm going to use horizontal for the month of December and make my decision one which style I will use for 2016.

Which style do you like best? See more using look books HERE

To celebrate the launch I'm having a sale. Use code 'ECLAUNCH' for 20% off orders $10+. Will end midday (Perth time) Thursday! Click image to be taken to my shop.

If you would like to save $10 off your first order (I also get $10) click the logo below!

Reno Rumble: Week 5

Again this week the home were full of white, wood, fresh plants and touch of blue. I'm little over it now and I hope the next season of The Block brings something completely different. I think they should come to WA and do something. Then I wont have to hear sayings like 'This is so Yarra'.

I have been watching House Rules as I enjoy seeing all the different house rules and styles. But I like to see the photos from Reno Rumble and catch up online.

The Red Backs lost by half a point which saw the entire team be eliminated. Which leaves the blue tongues which is one of original red back teams Ayden & Jess and blue tongues Carly & Leighton. This is the final week now... which team will win?!

My Study Becomes My Work Space

My study.. now my work space is one of most popular rooms in my home when I post photos here on the blog and on instagram. I'm lucky to have a large space, adjoining my main living space of my home so I am not shut away in a room all day. I recently restyled the shelves in my work space to add some more storage and just change things around as I do spend the majority of my time in here designing, blogging, completely orders and so on so it's a nice change.

Here is a photo from before I restyled and started my Etsy business (click here to see more photos).
As you can see its fairly organised and lots of space. But now my business requires more space and the desk on this side is fairly full. Still plenty room though on the other desk. I feel like I need to give my work space a good clear our (all drawers, cupboards etc) and refresh it all. I'm considering adding handless cupboards to cover the top shelves but leaving the bottom 3 open. I can't decide though.
On the wall behind where I sit is a chalkboard calendar wall sticker. I have barely used this since the start of the year as I use my EC planner for everything. I think it is time to remove it from the wall and replace with something else. I considered artwork but I want something more useful. So I'm thinking peg board. I love the look and I love how you can add stuff to it.

I'm choosing between doing a long vertical pieces from skirting boards up to the cornices or if I should do a large horizontal rectangle where the calendar currently is.
Here are some inspiration photos for pegboards used in ladies work spaces. Click the image to be taken to the original link and see more of their awesome spaces.
I love this idea of using clipboards. I will prob add some to my board for letters from kids school, inspirational quotes etc.
Im thinking typing out loud and I love lists so here are things I am thinking of changing and adding. I'd love your feedback!

CHANGING:
1) The grey/gold triangle wall to mint colour and possibly add silver spots or white crosses or something - spread out so doesn't become too busy
2) Chalkboard calendar to a pegboard (long vertical piece or horizontal rectangle)
3) Computer monitor will be changing to a bigger better one.

ADDING:
1) White hand-less cupboards to the top shelves and leaving the bottom row of 3 open.
2) Something to cover all the cables as other solutions have not worked
3) Clipboards to my pegboard

Now it's just a matter of finding the time to make my study become my work space. Hopefully in a few months I'll be sharing my lovely new updated space!

I'm Still Here!

I'm so sorry I have been missing in action lately.  I've been quieter than usual as my business (Lime & Mortar Etsy) has been very busy. I have recently this week made many changes to products which has been one of the most time consuming jobs ever. I am mentally exhausted now and creativity has been zapped for a few days. This week was the first time I didn't do a colour pop since I started blogging.... I feel bad but check out the Colour Pop tab above to look at all the beautiful colour pops!

I have some exciting things to share with you here on the blog over the next couple of months including our new outdoor BBQ area, update to my son's bedroom, Dulux product review and an amazing give away.

I have also been chosen to as a brand enthusiast for Fully Wrapped. Join me on Instagram as I will be sharing these fun cards, prints and stationery with you.

With new Erin Condren life planners being released next week business will be busy also my mother in law is coming to visit for a couple weeks. I am around though so I will still reply to your email and messages xx

Reno Rumble: Week 4 Reveal

Alright I'm going to say it... I feel like Im seeing the same stuff every week now. Light walls, warm natural wood, greys, marble and black features. Oh with a touch of plants. The houses are very pretty to look at though. I would just love to see something completely different!

I don't have any favourite rooms this week. There is only one thing I really dislike and that's the wine fridges on both ends of the kitchen island facing out. They create bit of an eye sore.

Blue Tongues were this week's winners sending Red Backs to elimination. Ben & Jemma have now left leaving both teams with only 2'couples each. Carly & Leighton are the only remaining original Blue Tongues.

Do you have a favourite team? Who do you think will win?
